Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a collision in Thamesmead.
At approximately 16:55hrs on Tuesday, 26 November a grey Hyundai Tuscan 4x4 vehicle mounted the kerb in Harrow Manorway at the junction with Godstow Road, SE2.
It was in collision with a 47-year-old male pedestrian. He was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service where he remains in a critical condition.
His next of kin have been informed.
The 4x4 was being pursued by an unmarked police car prior to the collision.
The driver of the 4x4, a 32-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, causing serious injury while driving and failing to stop for police.
He has been bailed pending further enquiries to a date in late December.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the collision and are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or drivers who have dascham footage of the incident are asked to contact officers at the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 020 8285 1574.
