​Appeal following Earls Court assault

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault in Earls Court.

On Wednesday, 13 January at around 21:20hrs, the victim – a woman in her 40s – was walking in Trebovir Road, SW5 near to Earls Court Station when she was approached by two males.

One of the males punched the woman in the face and then both proceeded to attack her before both left the scene.

The London Ambulance Service were called and the woman was taken to hospital for treatment to facial injuries.

The suspects are described as a light-skinned black male, approx. 5ft 9inches tall and a black male, approx. 6ft 1inch tall – both had dark hair and were aged in their 20s/30s.

Detective Constable Ellie Dew, of the Central West CID, said: “We are still working to establish why this woman was attacked. The victim had not seen these men before, and it appears that nothing was said prior to the incident.

“There were several people in and around the area at the time of the assault and I would ask anyone who witnessed this, or the events surrounding it, to contact police immediately.”

There have been no arrests; enquiries continue.
