UPDATE: Two charged in connection with stabbing in Westminster

Police have charged two men in connection with a stabbing in Westminster.

[A] Joseph Akapelwa, 26 (01.05.96), of Healum Avenue, Southall, and [B] Fadel Dabbous, 18 (05.12.03), of Grendon Street, NW8, have both been charged with attempted murder. Dabbous has further been charged with possession of a bladed/ pointed article.

They are due to appear in custody today at Westminster Magistrates' Court.

A third man arrested also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, [C] who is aged 21, remains in hospital.

Police were called to Junction Mews, W2, shortly after 18.30hrs on Saturday, 11 June to reports of a group of people fighting with knives.

Officers attended the location. A 28-year-old man was found suffering stab wounds. He was treated at the scene by paramedics from London Ambulance Service before being taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
