Appeal for witnesses to collision in Tooting
Officers are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision in Tooting.
Police were called at 11:48hrs on Monday, 25 April to reports of a collision involving a van and a pedestrian on London Road.
Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance.
The pedestrian – a man aged in his 50s – was taken to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition. His family have been informed.
The driver of the van stopped at the scene.
Detectives from the Met's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are working to establish the circumstances of the incident and would like to hear from any witnesses.
