Appeal for witnesses to violent robbery in Harrow

Detectives investigating a robbery in Harrow where a woman was knocked unconscious are appealing for information and witnesses.

The 34-year-old female victim recalls being followed while walking through the Belmont Nature Reserve, HA3, at around 14:00hrs on Monday, 30 November before being struck over the head with an unknown object.

When she awoke, she discovered that her handbag, phone and other personal items had been taken.

The victim was taken to a north London hospital by London Ambulance Service. She did not sustain serious injuries.

Police are keen to speak with anyone may have been around the area – the Belmont Nature Reserve– or specifically around the Beaufort Avenue entrance, at approximately 14:00-14:30hrs that day.

Detective Constable Louise Aré, who is investigating, said: “I am very keen to speak to anyone who can provide information concerning the identity of those responsible for this attack.

"I urge anyone who may have been in the vicinity at this time and date and may have seen anything suspicious to contact us immediately. The victim was left understandably shaken following this traumatic incident and we are doing everything we can to find those responsible."
