Charges brought in Twickenham assault

Charges have been brought following an incident in Twickenham during which an officer was injured.

Brandon Flanagan, 18 (26.10.00), of Twickenham, was charged on Tuesday, 21 May with GBH S.18 with intent to resist arrest, possession of a bladed article, possession of an offensive weapon and allowing himself to be carried on a stolen vehicle.

He has been remanded to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 22 May.

Police were called to the underpass by Jubilee Avenue, Whitton, TW2 at 15:30hrs on Monday, 20 May following reports of two men on a moped behaving suspiciously.

Two males were subsequently detained.

A 16-year-old boy from Twickenham was also arrested and has been released under investigation.
