Detectives investigating the murder of Jodie Chesney in Harold Hill have charged a fourth person.
A 17-year-old male [F] from Barking was charged on Sunday, 26 May with murder; he was also charged with possession of a prohibited weapon (stun gun). He will appear in custody at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 27 May.
He was first arrested on 10 March and initially released under investigation.
Three other people have been charged with Jodie’s murder – they are:
[A] Manuel Petrovic, 20 (21.12.98) of Highfield Road, Romford;
[B] A 16-year-old male from Romford;
[C] Svenson Ong-a-kwie, 19 (29.03.00) of Hillfoot Road, Collier Row.
A trial date has been set for Monday, 2 September at the Old Bailey.
Two other people arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender – [D] a 50-year-old man and [E] a 38-year-old woman – have been released under investigation.
A murder investigation was launched by detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command after Jodie, 17, died following a stabbing in a park close to St Neot’s Road, Harold Hill on the evening of 1 March.
