Further charges brought in Enfield murder investigation

Detectives investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal stabbing of 26-year-old James Amadu in Enfield have brought further charges against two men. 

[C] Franklyn Amadu, 23 (23.02.96) and [D] Dennis Goxha, 19 (1.09.00) both of Enfield were charged on Tuesday, 5 November with violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon.

They will appear in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 6 November.

Previously, [A] Romeo Mapeza, 18 (8.09.01) and a 15-year-old boy [B], both from Enfield, were charged with murder on Saturday, 2 November.

Mapeza was also charged with possession of a bladed article.

They appeared in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 4 November. Both were further remanded to appear at the Old Bailey, also on Wednesday 6 November.

This follows an investigation by homicide detectives from Specialist Crime.


James Amadu died after attending a north London hospital at 14:21hrs on Thursday, 31 October suffering from a stab wound. He sustained his injury after an incident on Blossom Lane in Enfield earlier that afternoon.
