Images released following attempted robbery of young boy on bus in Greenwich

Detectives are appealing for information following the attempted robbery of a young boy on board a bus in Greenwich.

At about 16:25hrs on Monday, 31 January, the 11-year-old boy was traveling on a Route 469 bus between Abbey Wood and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

He was approached by a teenager who asked for phone before appearing to attempt to change its security settings. The victim was able to retrieve his phone and left the bus.

Detectives have today released an image of the boy they need to identify and speak with.

He is approximately 5ft 6ins tall and was wearing a black jacket, light blue jeans and white trainers. He also wore a peach coloured scarf with red, black and white lines on it.

Anyone who recognises him, or witnessed the attempted robbery, is asked to call police via 101 quoting reference.
