UPDATE: Man appears in court charged with Ealing murder
Detectives investigating the death of Ania Jedrkowiak in Ealing have charged a man with murder.
Dennis Akpomedaye, 29 (18.08.92), of Blewitt Street, Newport, was charged on the evening of Wednesday, 18 May.
He appeared in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Thursday, 19 May, where he was remanded to at the Old Bailey on Monday, 23 May.
Police were called at 00:10hrs on Tuesday, 17 May to reports of a stabbing in an alleyway off Church Gardens, South Ealing.
Officers attended and found a 21-year-old woman had suffered a number of stab injuries. Despite the best efforts of emergency services, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
