Man charged with murder in Wandsworth
A man will appear in court charged with murder following a stabbing in Wandsworth.
Raekwon Hanniford-Brown – 22 (14.09.99) of Rossiter Road, SW12 will appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 30 July charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
Hanniford-Brown was arrested on Thursday, 28 July.
This follows an investigation by homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.
A murder investigation was launched after police were called at approximately 01:15hrs on Wednesday, 27 July to reports of a man suffering serious injuries at an address on Trinity Crescent, SW17.
Officers and London Ambulance Service attended – Errol McKay, 49, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man and a woman, both aged in their 40s, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. They were taken into custody before being released on bail and have since been told that no further action will be taken.
