Man charged with murder, Leytonstone

Detectives investigating the murder of Constantin Sin in Leytonstone have charged a man with murder.

Riyaz Adam, 25 (16.03.94) of Pearcroft Road, Waltham Forest, was charged on Thursday, 16 May with one count of murder, one count of attempted murder, perverting the course of justice, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

He appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 17 May and was remanded in custody and will appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 21 May.

Jack Bush, 23 (16.12.95) of Oakdale Road, Waltham Forest, was charged on Wednesday, 15 May with perverting the course of justice, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

He appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on 15 May and was remanded in custody to next appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 12 June.

Officers were called at 00:40hrs on Sunday, 5 May to reports of a car in collision with two pedestrians at High Road, Leytonstone.

Constantin died in hospital at 17:18hrs that day: a second victim remains in hospital with serious injuries.
