A murder investigation is underway following a stabbing in Camden.
Police were called at 23:13hrs on Sunday, 8 September to reports of a stabbing on Belmont Street, NW1.
Officers attended and found a woman, believed to be aged in her early 20s, suffering from a stab injury. They immediately provided first aid until the arrival of the London Ambulance Service.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene at 23:55hrs.
While a formal identification has yet to take place, police are confident that the victim’s identity is known and next of kin have been informed.
A post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.
Two other women were found with slash injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. They were taken to hospital for treatment.
Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command have been informed.
As a result of enquiries, a 35-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is in custody at a north London police station.
