A murder investigation is underway following the death of a man in Southwark.
Police were called at approximately 11:10hrs on Tuesday, 17 November to reports of a man stabbed at an address in Bramwell House, SE1.
Officers, London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended the scene.
A man, believed aged in his 20s, was found inside the address suffering injuries; despite the efforts of the emergency services he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Next of kin are aware.
No arrests, enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
BCU Commander for Southwark and Lambeth, Colin Wingrove, said:
“This is a shocking incident and our thoughts are with the victim’s family, who have lost a loved one in such tragic circumstances.
“Our Specialist Crime colleagues are investigating this terrible incident and locally we are providing every support.
“I want to reassure local residents that they can expect to see an increased policing presence in the area over the coming days.
“At that time of day, it’s highly likely this was seen by witnesses. I would urge anyone who has information they would like to share to approach officers or call 101 or Crimestoppers."
