An officer has been dismissed without notice following a misconduct hearing.
PC Alexander Topper, attached to the North Area Basic Command Unit, faced allegations that his behaviour had breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of honesty and integrity, orders and instructions and discreditable conduct.
It was alleged that in 2016, while working as a Special Constable, PC Topper failed to disclose a declarable association with a convicted criminal to the MPS.
It was also alleged that later that year he again failed to declare this association when he applied to become a police constable.
The hearing, which was heard remotely and in private, concluded on Wednesday, 18 November and found the allegations proven at the level of gross misconduct.
PC Topper was dismissed without notice.
