Misconduct proceedings against a serving officer have concluded.
It was alleged that on 19 July 2018, PC Sina Bahmanyar, attached to the Roads and Transport Policing Command, provided a sample for a ‘With Cause Drug Test’ which tested positive for steroids.
The panel considered all of the evidence provided by the Appropriate Authority.
Having taken all this into consideration PC Bahmnayar was found proven to have breached the standards of professional behaviour in relation to Duties and Responsibilities and Discreditable Conduct at the level of Misconduct. The standard of Fitness for Duty was withdrawn.
The decision of sanction by the Chair and Panel was for PC Bahmanayar to be issued a Final Written Warning.
