Detectives are renewing appeals for witnesses following a serious collision in Bellingham.
Police were called at around 06:20hrs on Sunday, 25 April, to reports of a Vauxhall Astra in collision with a female pedestrian, who was waiting for a bus, on Bromley Road near the junction with Randlesdown Road and Bellingham Road.
Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service.
A 57-year-old woman was taken to hospital suffering from serious injuries. She remains in a critical condition and her family has been informed.
A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to provide a specimen for analysis. He has since been released under investigation.
Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating. They would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision, or who captured it on dash cam.
