UPDATE: Two injured in road traffic collision in Wandsworth

Police are continuing to appeal for information following a collision in Wandsworth. 

Officers were called at 15:11hrs on Tuesday, 8 September to Openview, SW18 outside Beatrix Potter Primary School.

A car had mounted the pavement and collided with a number of children and adults.

Those injured, three adults and five children who were aged either seven or eight, were taken to hospital.

Two of the children had serious injuries. One child with a head injury is still in a serious but stable condition. 

The other seriously injured child, who had a leg injury, is now stable and recovering.

The London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance have attended the scene.

A tree and roadside furniture were also struck during the incident.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene, neither they, nor the two children also in the car, were injured. No arrests, enquiries continue.

The investigation is being led by detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
