Second arrest made in Lamar Jackson murder investigation
A second man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of Lamar Jackson in Woodford Green.
The 33-year-old was arrested on the morning of Wednesday, 8 June, and has subsequently been bailed until early July.
Police were called at approximately 00:10hrs on Friday, 3 June, to reports of a stabbing following a party in Chigwell Road.
Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and found Mr Jackson, a rap artist who performed under the stage name Hypo, suffering stab injuries.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the 39-year-old from Hackney was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post mortem examination carried out on Saturday, 4 June, confirmed the cause of death was ‘sharp force trauma to chest.’
Detectives from the Met's Specialist Crime Command continue to investigate the circumstances and would like to hear from any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police.
Hundreds of people were at the event as it ended and many would have seen what happened.

+ On Monday, 6 June, a 32-year-old man was charged with murder and possession of a bladed article as part of the investigation. He appeared at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, 8 June, where he was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, 24 August.
