UPDATE: Serving officer appears in court charged with sexual assault

A serving officer has appeared in court charged with sexual assault.

Sergeant Robert Bradley, 48, attached to Specialist Operations, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court today, Wednesday, 20 September.

He is next due to appear at Inner London Crown Court on Wednesday, 18 October.

It follows an incident that is alleged to have taken place while the officer was off duty in January 2023, involving a woman known to him.

He was charged via postal charge requisition in August 2023.

The Directorate of Professional Standards are aware.

The officer is on restricted duties.
