Update - Teenagers arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences.
Two teenagers arrested by detectives from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command under section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000 were last night, Tuesday, 9 June, released without charge.
Officers arrested an 18-year-old man [A] and a 16-year-old boy [B] at separate addresses in north-west London at approximately 05:10hrs on Friday, 5 June.
The teenagers were taken into custody at a south London police station. Detectives were subsequently granted warrants of further detention, allowing them to detain both until this morning, Wednesday, 10 June.
As part of the investigation, search warrants were executed at the two addresses. Both searches were completed.
