Two charged following large fight in Southall

Two men have been charged following a large altercation in Southall.

Police were called at around 00:20hrs on Sunday, 17 January, to reports of a large group of around 30 men fighting with various weapons, including knives and swords, in the area of King Street.

Officers attended and arrested two males, both aged in their 20s, on suspicion of violent disorder and affray.

There were no reported injuries.

[A] Sukwir Singh, 22 (12/06/1998), of Norwood Gardens, Southall, has been charged with affray and threatening a person with a blade/sharply pointed article in a public place.

[B] Lakha Singh, 29 (05/10/1991), of Norwood Gardens, Southall, has been charged with affray and threatening a person with a blade/sharply pointed article in a public place.

They both appeared at Willesden Magistrates' Court on Monday, 18 January where they were remanded in custody to appear at Isleworth Crown Court on Monday, 15 February.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward as enquiries continue.
