Two charged with Woolwich murder

Two men have been charged with the murder in Woolwich on 21 October of 26-year-old Emmanuel Ogabi.

Police were called at 07:48hrs on Thursday, 21 October to Sandy Hill Road, SE18 to a man collapsed in the street. Emmanuel was pronounced dead at the scene, and a post-mortem examination found the cause of death to be a single stab wound.

A murder investigation was launched, led by Detective Chief Inspector Richard Leonard from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.

On Friday, 12 November, officers arrested Denzel Maposa, (01/10/1998) of Bromley Gardens, Dunstable and Onyema Olisa (15/11/1995) of Boone Street SE13. Both men were charged with murder and appeared in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 13 November.

They were remanded in custody to next appear at the Old Bailey on Monday, 15 November.
