A man has been charged with murder following the death of a man in Islington.
Leon Tayler, 26 (30.03.93) of Cornwallis Square, N19 has been charged by postal requisition with the murder of 60-year-old Alcivradis Mavredis.
He will appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 5 September.
Tayler had previously been charged on Monday, 14 July with causing grievous bodily harm with intent on Mr Mavredis. He was kept in custody to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ the next day and had been remanded in custody by the court.
Mr Mavredis died at an east London hospital on Wednesday, 31 July after he was found injured on Beachcroft Way, N19.
A post-mortem examination on Friday, 2 August gave the cause of death as a head injury.
The investigation is being led by detectives from Specialist Crime North.
