UPDATE: man dies following Wandsworth collision

A pedestrian has died following a collision in Wandsworth on Tuesday, 4 June.

Officers were called at 13:39hrs to the collision involving a grey Peugeot 307 and a pedestrian at the junction of McDermott Close and Ingrave Street, SW11.

A man aged in his 80s was taken to a south London hospital suffering serious injuries.

He later died from during the early hours of this morning (Wednesday, 5 June) and his next of kin are being supported by specially trained officers.

The driver of the car, a woman aged in her 40s, stopped at the scene and was arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

She has since been released under investigation.
