Three individuals sentenced to a twenty six years total in prison for involvement in human trafficking, forced labour and money laundering in Enfield thanks to work by dedicated Met detectives. In Jan 2019, an investigation began to uncover exploitation of vulnerable men and women. This group targeted vulnerable individuals from the Czech Republic, exploiting them for financial gains.

Met improves interview process for victims of crime with new technology

The Met Police is rolling out its new ‘Digital Interview Recording (DIR) kits’, in its commitment to put victims at the heart of investigations, as part of its New Met for London plan. It’s a significant advance in its drive to equip officers with innovative technology to improve efficiency of evidence obtained during interviews with victims, particularly women and girls affected by violence.
