Appeal following fatal collision in Hornchurch

Officers are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal collision in Hornchurch.

Police were called at 21:45hrs on Friday, 13 September, to a car in collision with a motorcycle in Upper Rainham Road near the junction with Gordon Avenue, Hornchurch.

Officers attended along with ambulance colleagues. Despite the efforts of emergency services, the rider of the motorcycle, a man aged in his 20s, sadly died from his injuries at the scene.

The man’s family are being supported by specialist officers.

The car driver stopped at the scene. There has been no arrest and enquiries continue.

A scene was put in place while the incident was dealt with and enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing.
