Appeal following fatal collision in Isle of Dogs

Officers are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in the Isle of Dogs.

Police were called to Aspen Way, close to the junction of Preston’s Road at 03:25hrs on Wednesday, 5 August following a single-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle.

Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service, London’s Air Ambulance and the London fire Brigade.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

His family are aware and continue to receive support from specialist officers.

The East India Dock Road Tunnel and Aspen Way remain closed and enquiries are ongoing.
