Appeal following serious collision in Barnet

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Barnet.

Police were called at about 19:40hrs on Monday, 11 November to reports of a collision on Bunns Lane, NW7.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service (LAS) attended. At the scene a VW Polo had been in collision with a Yamaha scooter.

The rider, a 28-year-old man, was taken by the LAS to a north London hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

The occupants of the car – two 17-year-old males and a 19-year-old man – stopped at the scene. All three were also taken to hospital as a precaution.

The driver (the 19-year-old) was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He was later released on bail pending further enquiries.

Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating. They would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or captured it on dash cam.
