Appeal following serious injury collision in Stockwell

Detectives investigating a serious road traffic incident in Stockwell are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward.

Police were called by London Ambulance Service (LAS) at 12:26hrs on Saturday, 26 October to reports of a collision involving a single decker bus and a male pedestrian on South Lambeth Road with the junction with Lansdowne Way, SW8.

Emergency services attended and provided first aid. The man – no further details - was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition

Work is ongoing to establish the man’s identity and anyone who can assist with this is asked to contact police.

The driver of the bus who stopped at the scene was not arrested – they are assisting police with the investigation.

Road closures were put in place while the scene was dealt with – these have now been lifted.
