Appeal over Enfield Town Park serious assault

Detectives investigating the serious assault of a 62-year-old man in Enfield have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to.

The victim in this case was sat on a bench in Enfield Town Park when a man unknown to him assaulted him at 14:00hrs on Friday, 26 June, the victim sustained a broken jaw in the assault.

As part of a public appeal, the police have released CCTV images of a man who may have vital information. The man is described as, white, tall build, with short black hair and facial hair, wearing a black t-shirt and blue shorts.

Detective Inspector Allen Windsor, who is leading the investigation said: “This was a highly alarming incident, which has left the victim and his family in distress.

“Despite the best efforts to identify the man, we are now appealing to the public for further information.

“Nobody should be attacked like this. We believe this to be an isolated incident and we remain committed to identifying and bringing the perpetrator to justice – can you help?”
