Arrest made in Kilburn murder investigation

Detectives investigating the murder of a man in Kilburn have made an arrest.

Police were called at 20:50hrs on Tuesday, 26 May to reports of an altercation on Ashmore Road, W9.

Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and found a 20-year-old man with injuries. Despite the efforts of paramedics, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim can be named as Malakai Ferguson-Ramson. His family continues to be supported by specialist officers.

A post-mortem examination conducted yesterday, Thursday, 28 May confirmed that Malakai died from a single stab wound to the chest.

On Thursday, 28 May, officers arrested a 42-year-old man on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. He has since been bailed pending further enquiries. The investigation continues.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Waller, who is leading the investigation, said:

“We are working at pace to identify those involved in Malakai's murder and have already made one arrest in connection with the investigation.

“Our investigation continues and I would ask that anyone with information about what happened or video footage of the incident gets in touch with my officers.

“My thoughts remain with Malakai's family and all those affected by his tragic death.”
