Clapham shooting victim named as family pay tribute
Detectives investigating a shooting in Clapham have named the victim, as they continue to probe the circumstances of his death.
Kyrone Moodie, aged 27, was fatally shot in an incident on New Park Road, Clapham on Monday, 8 September.
As their investigation into Kyrone’s death continues, detectives are again calling on anyone in the New Park Road area on Monday, 8 September, to share doorbell or camera footage as a matter of urgency.
In a statement, Kyrone’s family said:
“Kyrone was a loving family man. He was genuine and determined.
“He helped everyone he could. Kyrone was just a humble, funny and God-worshiping family orientated man.”
Police were called at 20:50hrs to reports of a shooting on New Park Road, Clapham.
Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service who treated Kyrone and a 20-year-old man for gunshot wounds before taking them to hospital.
Despite the best efforts of medical staff, Kyrone sadly died in hospital in the early hours of Tuesday, 9 September.
His family continue to receive support from specialist officers.
The second victim of the shooting has now been discharged from hospital.
