Detectives appeal for information after theft at Sutton home
The Met is seeking to recover stolen jewellery following a residential burglary in south London.
The items, which include identifiable objects such as a gold necklace in the shape of an orchid, were stolen between 17:00hrs and 21:00hrs from a house in Willis Avenue, Sutton on Thursday, 23 April.
When the crime was reported, officers conducted an initial forensic examination of the scene, and CCTV was seized which captured a silver BMW fleeing the area.
To ensure the jewellery is returned to their rightful owner, detectives have released images of the stolen goods and are asking the public - and shop owners who buy gold - to get in touch with any information.
Detective Constable Lee Simpson, who is leading the investigation, said: “The sentimental and cultural value of this stolen jewellery priceless. This is why my team and I are working tirelessly to identify those responsible and locate the items. We're urging anyone who recognises the pieces - or has any information as to their whereabouts - to contact us immediately.”
People with information can contact the Met via 101, or report anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting reference number 01/7475684/26.
