Detectives investigating a murder in Hackney have brought further charges linked to their investigation

Lianne Gordon, 42, was fatally shot in Vine Close, E5 on Tuesday, 5 December 2023.

Enquiries into how she lost her life are being carried out by murder detectives who have brought new charges against a man in connection with their investigation.

On Tuesday, 27 February [B] Elijah Sereki, 20 (19.05.03), of Worsley Grove, E5, was charged with possession of a bladed article in relation to an alleged incident in Vine Close on 1 October 2023.

He was also charged with possession of a firearm with intent, possession of a bladed article and affray in relation to an alleged incident in Rendlesham Road on 2 December 2023.

This is in addition to a 16-year-old boy [A] who was previously charged with Lianne’s murder and the attempted murder of a 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy in Vine Close, E5 on 5 December 2023.

The 16-year-old boy [A] has additionally been charged with the same offences as Sereki. This is because two alleged incidents on 1 October and 2 December 2023, are being investigated by detectives leading enquiries into the murder of Lianne Gordon.

[A] will appear in custody before Barkingside Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 5 March and [B] will appear in custody before the Old Bailey on Friday, 8 March.
