Do you recognise these suspects? Images released of two sought in connection with Deshaun James Tuitt murder

Homicide detectives have released two new images of two males they would like to speak to in connection with the murder of a teenager in Islington.

Fifteen-year-old Deshaun James Tuitt was fatally stabbed in Highbury Fields, N5, shortly before 21:00hrs on Thursday, 4 August 2022.

Detective Chief Inspector Joanna Yorke said:“We are still investigating the death of Deshaun and we know that a large number of youngsters and adults were in the area where Deshaun was attacked. We believe its likely that there is someone who will recognise the two males seen in these images.

"I urge anyone who has information about them, or about the Deshaun’s murder, to please do the right thing and get in touch either in person or anonymously. His family are desperate for answers and we are doing everything we can to get them the justice they need."

On arriving at Highbury Fields, officers and London Ambulance Service paramedics found Deshaun suffering with knife injuries. He was treated by medics at the scene, but despite their efforts, he sadly died in hospital a short time later.

Deshaun’s family said: “Deshaun was a son, brother, nephew and cousin and the whole family are devastated by his death.

"We, as a family, understand that people are scared to come forward and speak to the police. We urge people to do the right thing. This is not an insignificant crime, it’s a murder and someone knows what happened that day. Justice won’t bring Deshaun back but at least we, as a family, can know what happened.

“We can’t stress enough how important it is to come forward if you have any information that can help the police.”

Anyone with information should contact police as soon as possible on 0208 345 3865 stating CAD 7948/04AUG22 or call independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 to remain anonymous.”
