Four charged following Met investigation into phone thefts and fraud

Four men have been charged with theft and fraud offences in south London as a result of an investigation by the local proactive team based in Southwark.

The following men were charged today (Tuesday, 27 February) with conspiracy to dishonestly receive stolen goods (namely mobile telephones) and conspiracy to commit fraud by making a false representation between 28 December 2022 and 26 February 2024:

[A] Zakaria Senadjki, 30 (03.04.1993), of Dartmouth Close W11

[B] Riyadh Mamouni, 25 (06.01.1999), of Dartmouth Close W11

[C] Nazih Cheraitia, 33 (02.04.1990), of Wales Farm Rd W3

[D] Ahmed Belhanafi, 25 (18.12.1998), of Dartmouth Close W11

All four men appeared at Croydon Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, 27 February and have been remanded in custody. They will next appear at Southwark Crown Court on Tuesday, 26 March.

The charges follow a proactive investigation by Met officers into multiple phone and identification document thefts across London.

Officers conducted raids on Monday, 26 February, resulting in the seizure of multiple suspected stolen mobile phones and the recovery of assets alleged to be linked to fraudulent activity.
