Further arrest following Saturday protests
Officers reviewing and investigating offences at Saturday's protests have made a further arrest.
A 28-year-old man was arrested at an address in Plymouth on Monday morning on suspicion of stirring up racial hatred (Section 18 Public Order Act).
He was pictured online during Saturday's Nakba protest holding a sign that called for people to be hanged, alongside other offensive language.
Steps were taken to try and locate him within the large crowds during the event but he was able to evade police attention.
Officers from the Met’s Public Order Crime Team identified him and travelled to Plymouth to make the arrest. He remains in custody.
We continue to review footage and imagery from Saturday’s protests and where offences and suspects are identified we will look to take action.
Two people who were arrested on Saturday have been charged.
