UPDATED: Man and woman appear in court charged with drug supply offences

A man and woman charged with drug supply offences in Tower Hamlets have appeared in court.

James Hoare, 60 [31.10.63] of Blair Street, E14 and Nina Smith, 51 [30.10.72] of Newport Avenue, E14 were charged on Tuesday, 19 March with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of criminal property.

They appeared in custody at Thames Magistrates Court on Thursday, 21 March where Hoare pleaded guilty. Smith did not enter a plea.

Both will appear in custody at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 18 April.

This follows a targeted stop and search at Newport Avenue on Tuesday, 19 March that led to the further search of an address where drugs and cash were seized.
