Man appears in court charged with murder of man in Hackney

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man in Hackney.

Bamidele Fawehinmi, 31 (26.09.92) of Clissold Close, Haringey, appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 2 February.

He was remanded in custody and will next appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 6 February.

Police attended an address in Lansdowne Drive, E8 at about 00:30hrs on Monday, 29 January following concerns for the welfare of the occupant.

On arrival officers found a deceased man inside the address. A post-mortem examination concluded that the man died as a result of injuries consistent with an assault.

+A 41-year-old man [A] arrested on 31 January was released with no further action.
