Man charged following investigation into group
A man has been charged following a Met investigation into Take Back Power.
Arthur Clifton, 25 (21.11.2000), of Gipsy Road, Lambeth, has been charged with encouraging or assisting offences believing one or more will be committed, contrary to sections 46 and 58 of the Serious Crime Act 2007.
He will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 2 September.
The charge follows a Met investigation into Take Back Power. The group has claimed responsibility for stunts involving criminal damage that targeted the Ritz and the Crown Jewels in December, and shoplifting from high street supermarkets in London and Manchester.
Clifton is accused of encouraging the commission of criminal activity, namely theft and criminal damage.
