Man charged following Willesden fatal collision

A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a fatal collision in Willesden on Wednesday, 3 December.

Police were called to Chapel Close, Willesden at 12:44hrs following reports of a collision between a car and pedestrians.

Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and a man in his 30s sadly died at the scene. He has since been named as Ruben Nunes, 34, from Peterborough. His family are aware and continue to be supported by specialist officers.

A police investigation was launched and on Thursday, 4 December a man was arrested in connection with the incident.

Shakaine Dwyer, 29 (29.07.1996) of Willesden was charged on Sunday, 7 December with causing death by dangerous driving. He will appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 8 December.

A 32-year-old man was arrested on Thursday, 4 December on suspicion of assisting an offender. He remains on bail as enquiries continue.
