Man charged over Peckham nightclub murder

A man has been charged in connection with a murder outside a Peckham nightclub last month.

Nairol Messa, 23 (26.09.2002), of Sedgehill Road, Bellingham, will appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 15 May, charged with murder and possession of a knife.

This follows the murder of Aurelio Mejia on Monday, 6 April.

Police were called at 03:54hrs that day to reports of disturbance involving a group of people outside a nightclub in Ruby Street SE15.

Upon arrival, officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service found Aurelio with stab wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency services, he died at the scene. His next-of-kin continue to be supported by specialist officers.

Background: Three others have already been charged in relation to this case. They will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court for a pre-trial and preparation hearing on Friday, 3 July.

  • Christian Perez, 19 (10.08.2006), of Lewisham Road, Lewisham, has been charged with murder and possession of a knife.
  • Enyeris Medina, 23 (09.04.2003), of Councillor Street, Southwark, has been charged with murder, possession of a knife and two counts of grievous bodily harm.
  • Brittany Henaro Campo, 22 (15.05.2003), of Sedgehill Road, Bellingham, has been charged with conspiracy to commit Section 18 grievous bodily harm.
