Man charged with attempted murder of woman stabbed at Carnival
A man will appear in court this morning charged with the attempted murder of a 32-year-old woman who was stabbed at Notting Hill Carnival on Sunday.
Shakiel Thibou, 20 (29.05.2004) of Masbro Road, W12 was arrested at an address in Hammersmith and Fulham on Tuesday morning.
In the early hours of Wednesday, 28 August he was charged with attempted murder, violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon.
Two other men have been charged in relation to the same incident. The three men are brothers.
Sheldon Thibou, 24 (23.01.2000) of Star Road, W12 has been charged with violent disorder, possession of a stun gun and assaulting an emergency worker.
Shaeim Thibou, 22 (20.02.2003) of Charleville Road, W14 has been charged with violent disorder and assaulting an emergency worker.
All three have been remanded to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday morning.

Shortly before 18:00hrs on Sunday, officers deployed in Golborne Road, W10 as part of the Carnival policing operation became aware of a woman who had been stabbed.
The officers, including police medics, gave emergency medical treatment until the arrival of paramedics. The woman was transported to hospital where she remains in a critical condition.
Media and the public are strongly reminded that this is an active case. Nothing should be published, including on social media, which could prejudice future court proceedings.
