Man charged with Eltham murder

A 36-year-old has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 72-year-old man in Eltham.

Warren White, 36 (31.12.1989) of Rennets Wood Road, Eltham was arrested on Thursday, 30 April and charged on Friday, 1 May.

He appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 1 May and was remanded in custody.

He will next appear at the Old Bailey in January 2027.

The charge relates to the death of a 72-year-old man who was found unconscious on his driveway in Rennets Wood Road at around 07:15hrs on Monday, 16 March. Despite the best efforts of medical staff at the scene and in hospital, he died two days later.

His family continue to be supported by specialist officers.

White and the victim are known to each other.
