Man charged with historic sexual offences dating back to 1978

A man has been charged following an investigation into an allegation of historic sexual offences.

Paul Gadd, (08.05.44) of no fixed address was charged with four historic sexual offences on Thursday, 2 July:

  • One count of unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 13,
  • Three counts of indecent assault on a girl under the age of 14.

Gadd will appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, 5 August in relation to the above charges.

The charges relate to one victim, and the offences are alleged to have taken place between the years of 1978-1981 at a residential address in Kensington.

The allegations were first reported to the Met on Friday, 9 January 2025 and an investigation into the circumstances was launched.

Gadd was first interviewed on Tuesday, 22 July 2025 in relation to the investigation.

The victim is currently being supported by specialist officers, and they have been made aware of this update.
