Man charged with multiple voyeurism offences in north London

Anthony Durkan, 35 (20.01.1990), of Corporation Street, Islington, was charged on Monday, 11 May with 19 counts of voyeurism.

The charges relate to a series of incidents alleged to have occurred between January 2020 and March 2026. It is alleged Durkan filmed women through the windows of residential addresses in the Islington area in the early hours of the morning without their knowledge or consent.

Durkan has been bailed and is due to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 21 July.

Detective Chief Inspector Gemma Alger, whose team is leading the investigation, said: “We understand news like this cause concern within the local community, particularly among women living in the area. I want to reassure the public that these allegations are being treated with the utmost seriousness.

“At this time, there is no information to suggest there is any wider risk to the community.

“We are now keen to hear from anyone who believes they may have been affected by this case. We recognise that coming forward can feel daunting, but anyone who contacts us will be listened to, supported, and guided by specialist officers.
