Man charged with murder following Brixton stabbing

A man has appeared in court charged with murdering a woman in Brixton.

Robert Sabat, 59 (24.01.1966), of no fixed abode, has been charged with murder and threatening a person with an offensive weapon.

He appeared before Croydon Magistrates on Wednesday, 29 October, where he was remanded into custody.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 16.59hrs on Monday, 27 October, to a disturbance at McCormick House, Tulse Hill.

Inside the property, a 42-year-old woman was found dead with multiple stab wounds. Her family have been informed, and are being supported by specialist officers.

Sabat will appear before the Old Bailey on Friday, 31 October.
