Man dies after collision in Northolt

A man has died following a collision in Northolt.

Police were called at 16:57hrs on Sunday, 7 June to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian on the A40 slip road at the Target Roundabout.

Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and the London’s Air Ambulance.

Despite the efforts of medics, a man in his 40s – the pedestrian – was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His next-of-kin are being supported by specialist officers.

A 20-year-old man, who is alleged to have been driving a blue BMW M4 involved in the collision, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing death whilst uninsured. He remains in police custody.

Officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash, which is believed to have happened at around 16:30hrs, or has dash cam footage that could assist the investigation to come forward.

Detective Inspector Fiaz Janjua, from the Met's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said:

“Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of victim of this tragic incident.

“As we try to build up a full picture of the incident, we want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or any relevant information - particularly anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage.”
