Man in court charged with murder of elderly woman in Queen's Park

A man has been charged with murder following the death of an 80-year-old woman in Queen's Park.

Steven Clark, 50 (02.03.74), of Bravington Road W9, appeared in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 22 March. He is next due to appear at the Central Criminal Court on Tuesday, 26 March.

Police were called at around 04.15hrs on Wednesday, 20 March to an address in Fourth Avenue W10. LAS were already in attendance and reported that a woman, Ursula Uhlemann, had been pronounced deceased.

Clark was arrested and later charged as above.

Officers believe the pair were known to each other.

Ursula’s family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

A post-mortem examination gave provisional cause of death as compression to the neck.

Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are investigating.
